My husband and I attended the Fargo Boat Show at the Fargodome. We enjoyed the variety and selection, as the show always draws many regional dealers. We were shopping for a jet-ski and found many competitive and attractive deals.
However, our decision was ultimately determined by the location of the dealer. We chose to make our purchase with a Minnesota dealer in order to avoid paying the Fargo “dam” tax. We don’t support the Fargo diversion, and whenever possible, we’ll do the same not to contribute to the Fargo dam tax.
We can’t avoid shopping in Cass County completely, but we certainly will be purchasing big-ticket items elsewhere, until a reasonable alternative to the diversion is decided upon.
