To Whom It May Concern,
I am not in favor of the diversion around Fargo No. Dak. and Moorhead Minn. To start with they don’t even know if they can cross 5 rivers which has never been done, and they didn’t tell us when they put it up for a vote that they planned on flooding everybody to the south of us out. The Corp doesn’t even want to consider that there may be other options. Who is expected to pay the 3 to 5 million a year that they say will
take to maintain the diversion? I feel that our taxes are already to high. I know a lot of people feel the same way I do.
I think everyone who will be affected by the diversion should have had a chance to vote on it and they should have been upfront with what they had planned when they put it up to a vote.
The West Fargo diversion hasn’t worked for everyone either, it floods a lot of people out too, late this summer there was still water behind the diversion where it didn’t have any place to drain out. I say no to the diversion, maybe they should put it up to a vote again now that the people know what the whole deal is.
